F&B - Fullstack Web Engineer

What you’ll get to do

As a fullstack web engineer, you will own the design, implementation, and operation of key platform features. We are looking for self motivated individuals from all backgrounds, who are prepared to take on the challenges and opportunities that come from working in a fast paced, early stage startup. Success in this role will lead to increased responsibility and leadership opportunities as the startup continues to scale.

Our cloud-based marketing and analytics tool allows restaurants of all sizes to harness their data across all their online channels in order to maximize their customer reputation and growth.

• Build powerful web applications using React and Node.js.
• Contribute to technical architecture design for our new products and enhancements to current products.
• Collaborate closely with other software engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Help other engineers on the team via mentorship, code pairs and code reviews.
• Hustle - plain and simple.

What it takes to succeed

• B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience building applications on a modern web technology stack.
• A strong technical background anchored around modern backend web development e.g. Express, Django, Flask, Spring, Play, etc.
• Proficiency with modern frontend web technologies - big plus for ES6+, React, and Redux.
• Well-versed with both relational and NoSQL database technologies.
• Hands on experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) including serverless application model.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with building in-app predictive analytics experiences
• Experience with migration to microservices (and the pains that come with it)
• Passion for open-source community and contributions
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Domain expertise in the adtech industry
• Domain expertise in F&B technology

Our interview process

1. Review
   After we receive applications, we will screen and review for various criteria.
2. Technical challenge
   Promising engineers will receive a small technical project so we can assess relevant skills and abilities. Every engineer who completes the project will be presented with a small gift from us.
3. Team interview
   Successful candidates will have a 30-min talk with our HR manager, our engineering manager and/or relevant team members.
4. Offer
   Engineers who we believe that will be a great addition to our team, will receive an offer from us right away.
